우리들 이야기

지난 주일에 12분의 목사님, 선교사님, 전도사님, 사모님들을 모시고 [목회자를 위한 가정교회 세미나]를 했습니다. 이번에는 특히 다른 해 보다는 숫자가 적었습니다. 그래서 지난 달에 [New Generation Shepherd conference]를 주최해서 형제 자매들이 피곤할테니 하지 말까라는 생각도 했습니다. 김인기 목사님과 의논하다가 결국 하기로 했는데, 정말 잘 결정했다는 생각이 듭니다. 크게 두 가지 이유입니다.   첫째는, 목회자님들이 변화하는 열매입니다.  이번에 오신 12분의 목회자님들 중에서 3 분은 가정교회에 대해서 잘 모르기도하고 부정적인 생각을 갖고 왔습니다. 그런데 매일 매일 모든 목회자님들의 표정과 생각이 조금씩 바뀌는 것을 느꼈습니다. 처음에는 전혀 가정교회에 관심이 없다고 하신 분들도 점점 질문을 더 하시고, 마지막 날에는 가정교회를 어떤 형태로든 꼭 하겠다는 결심을 다 하시는 것을 보았습니다. 

우리교회 6명의 목자목녀님들의 간증을 듣고, 김목사님의 강의와 저의 강의들 듣고, 정성 껏 준비된 음식을 경험하고, 민박하는 목자님들의 섬김과 대화를 사용하셔서 하나님께서 목회자님들의 마음에 은혜를 주신 것 같습니다. 눈물을 흘리며 은혜를 나누는 선교사님과 지금까지 자신의 사역이 가짜였다고 고백까지 하시는 목사님들의 고백을 들으며, 저와 섬겼던 비전교회 형제자매님들의 피곤이 사라지는 것 같았습니다. 그리고 목사님들과 선교사님들이 선교지로 돌아가서 영혼을 구원하여 제자를 만드는 건강한 교회를 세울 것을 생각하니 기대가 많이 되었습니다.   두번째는, 우리 교회 형제 자매님들이 섬기면서 받는 복입니다. 새롭게 섬기는 일꾼들이 찾아지고, 은사를 발견하고, 서로 함께 음식하고 세미나를 진행하면서 동역자임을 느끼고, 개인과 가족과 보낼 시간을 희생하거나 직장에서 일하는 시간 등을 희생해서 세미나에 섬기러 오는 형제 자매들을 보며 서로 은혜가 된다고 합니다. 섬기는 교회가 받는 복인 것 같습니다. 섬길수록 더 섬김의 영적 근육이 강해지고 실력이 키워지는 것입니다. 정말 수고했습니다. 

Last week, we hosted [HC seminar for pastors), inviting 12 pastors, missionaries, ministers, and their spouses to our church. However, this conference was smaller scale compared to last year's conference. We were even wondering if we could cancel the seminar since many of our Church Family members were exhausted from last month's [New Generation Shpeherd conference]. I do believe we made the right call to host the seminar after a discussion with Rev Inki Kim. We made the right decision for two reasons. First, there was a change in the attending minister's heart. Of those who attended the seminar, 3 out of 12 ministers didn't know well about HC and didn't have a positive attitude toward HC. However, I felt there were changes in their heart as days went by. Those who don't show an interest in HC, start questioning more about HC and then they decide to start HC in some shape or form. 

I think God touched those ministers' hearts with His Grace as they listened to testimonies from our church HC leaders, attended my and Rev Kim's Sessions, and experienced how our HC leaders prepared meals and opened their houses for a homestay. I and HC leaders who served this seminar felt refreshed as we witnessed a missionary share the grace with tears and testimony from pastors, confessing their ministry prior was not a real one. We can't wait to see how they will build a healthy church of saving souls and making disciples as they return to their ministry in their churches as well as mission fields. Second, our church brothers and sisters were blessed as they served the seminar. We discovered new workers and talents. As they prepared meals and facilitated the seminar together, we built a strong sense of partnership. Also, they received grace from each other as they saw many sacrifice their time for family and work to serve. I do believe the serving church is blessed. We build spiritual muscle and skills as we serve. Thank you very much to you all.
