우리들 이야기

가정교회들은 일주일에 한 번 모이는 목장 모임에 많은 준비와 에너지를 쏟아야 하기 때문에 일상생활에 바쁘고 피곤한 성도들을 배려하여 다른 모임을 크게 강조하지 않습니다. 하지만 일반적인 교회는 그만큼의 에너지를 내야 할 필요가 없어서 다른 기도회나 예배나 모임에 관심을 두고 에너지를 쏟고, 소위 ‘은혜’를 받고 싶어합니다. 그럼에도 불구하고, [토요새벽기도회]에 여러분이 참여하기를 강하게 권하는 두 가지 이유가 있습니다. 첫째, 개인적으로 영적 성장이 되고, 새벽에 교회에 나와서 함께 기도하는 것을 통해서 기도의 훈련이 되고, 하나님과 친밀한 시간을 가지게 되고, 개인과 가정과 목장과 교회와 나라를 위해 기도할 수 있다는 것입니다.  둘째, 교회적으로는 혼자보다 좀더 많은 형제자매들이 함께 모여서 기도할 때에 서로에게 동기부여가 되고, 교회의 영성이 더 높아지고, 함께 하나님의 능력과 기도응답을 경험할 수 있다는 것입니다. 예수님께서도 함께 기도하면 하나님 아버지께서 들어 주실 것이라고 약속하셨습니다. (마20:19) 내가 진정으로 거듭 너희에게 말한다. 땅에서 너희 가운데 두 사람이 합심하여 무슨 일이든지 구하면, 하늘에 계신 내 아버지께서 그들에게 이루어 주실 것이다.)  

현재 토요 새벽기도회는 목자님들이 차례대로 간증을 하며 인도하고 있습니다. 좀더 토요새벽기도회를 활성화 하기 위해 여러가지 방법도 생각하고 기도했는데, 간증 설교를 준비하면서 목자님들이 자신의 목회를 돌아볼수 있다는 점, 목자님들이 예배인도와 말씀을 전하는 훈련이 되는 점, 또한 한 사람의 설교보다 다양한 실제 생활의 간증들을 통해서 은혜가 된다는 장점이 있습니다. 그래서, 지금 방식은 유지해 보려고 합니다. 단 목자님의 설교와 기도가 끝나면, 제가 나가서 기도회를 인도하여 다 같이 좀 더 기도하고 영적인 훈련이 되도록 해 보려고 합니다. 물론 직장이나 자녀들의 일정이나 체력 등의 이유로 매주 토요일 새벽에 일찍 일어나서 오는 것이 쉽지 않은 분도 있을 것입니다. 그래서 한 달에 한 번 이상은 꼭 참여해서 기도한다는 마음을 가지시기 바랍니다. 이렇게 영적 훈련의 기회가 있어 권할 때는, 스스로 따라와야 여러분의 신앙은 계속 성장합니다.  잠을 깨고, 피곤을 이기고, 어린 신앙에 머무는 유혹을 물리치고, 새벽기도에 오셔서 기도로 주님을 함께 만나기 바랍니다.  

We don’t over-stress or encourage others to attend other church meetings because we understand that our HC requires a lot of energy and effort to prepare and conduct weekly HC meetings. However, conventional churches don’t require that many efforts, hence their efforts and focus are geared toward other church meetings so that they may receive so-called “heavenly grace.” Despite all, I want to challenge you to attend [Saturday early morning prayer] for two reasons. First, it helps individual spiritual growth while training in prayer as you attend early morning prayer meetings. This also allows you a deeper relationship with God while you pray for self, family, HC, church, and the nation. Second, it motivates each other as more brothers and sisters gather and pray together rather than alone. It deepens the spirituality of the church while we experience God’s power and prayers answered together. Even Jesus promised us that God would listen to our prayers if we prayed together. (Matthew 18:19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. Currently, Saturday Morning prayer is led by HC leaders as they share their personal testimonies. 

We have been assessing options and praying for the Saturday prayer meeting to make the meeting more active. We came to the conclusion that it is going to be beneficial if HC leaders share their personal testimony of their experience of being HC leaders, reflecting their ministry while training their worship leading, and sharing the Good News. Best of all, this is beneficial to the church as a whole, as various perspectives move us more deeply than just a single person’s lecture. Hence, we try to keep our current agenda. One more thing I would like to add is to lead more prayer time after the HC leader’s message and prayer to train us more in prayer and spirituality. I understand it is not easy to wake up early on Saturday morning to attend early morning prayers because of other requirements and personal health conditions. But I encourage you to commit at least once a month to the Saturday morning prayer meeting. You will continue to grow spiritually as you commit yourself to obey when the opportunity is given. I wish all of you to come to the Early Morning prayer meeting and meet our Lord during your prayer- please overcome the temptation of sleep, tiredness, and complacency of faith.
