우리들 이야기

제가 2010년에 처음으로 목회자를 위한 가정교회 세미나를 가서 가정교회를 배웠습니다. 가정교회에 대해 가장 좋은 점은 전도의 시선을 믿지 않는 사람들(vip)에게 집중하는 것입니다. 그래서 가정교회에서는 부활절 행사를 해도 vip초청 부활절, 말씀잔치를 해도 vip초청 말씀잔치, 소풍을 가도 vip초청 소풍을 합니다. 목장을 모이는 가장 중요한 이유도 단순히 친교모임이나 식사가 아니라 vip를 초대해서 영혼구원하여 제자만드는 것입니다. 왜냐하면 교회를 세우신 예수님이 말씀하신 교회의 존재목적이 영혼구원하여 제자만드는 것이기 때문입니다. 그런데 어떤 사람들은 말하기를 신앙생활을 오래 하다보면, 믿지 않는 친구도 멀어지고 비신자를 찾기가 힘들다고 합니다. 그래서 어떤 교회는 이미 다른 교회를 다니던 사람이 와서 당장에 도움이 된다며 교회 봉사나 재정적으로 기여를 하는 사람을 선호한다고 합니다. 그러나 우리교회는 가정교회를 하기에, 하나님이 찾으시는 사람, 섬김이 필요한 사람, 믿음이 없거나 약한 사람, 다른 종교를 다녔던 사람을 찾아서 하나님의 사랑을 실천하고 섬기려고 노력해서 감사합니다.  

이렇게 영혼을 구원하는 개인과 목장이 되기 위해서 여러 가지 필요하겠지만, 첫번째 할 일은 vip명단을 만드는 것입니다. 목장에 모였을 때 목장식구들이 이 지역에서 알고 지낸 사람, 만난 적이 있는 사람 중에서 교회를 다니지 않는 사람을 2-3명을 말합니다. 이름을 몰라도 되고, 한국 사람이 아니라도 되고, 자세한 정보를 몰라도 됩니다. 지금까지 vip명단을 가지지 못한 목장의 이유를 보면, 한국 사람만 찾으려고 했기 때문인데, 이제부터는 다른 민족도 포함하시기 바랍니다. 그렇게 각자가 3명을 말한 후, 목장에서 그 명단을 다 모읍니다. 예를 들면, 5명의 목장 식구가 있으면 총 15명의 명단이 있겠지요. 그 중에서 가장 목장이나 교회에 올 가능성 있는 3-5명을 우선순위로 정합니다. 그래서 매주 목장 모일 때 그 3-5명을 위해서 같이 기도하는 순서를 가집니다. 그 명단을 가지고 교회의 중보기도팀과 교회 기도회에서도 그들을 위해 같이 기도합니다. 그 명단 중 한명이 오게 되면, 다 같이 기도했기 때문에 새로운 분을 환영하고 영혼구원하는 일에 다 동참한 것이 됩니다. 비전교회는 적어도 1년에 한번은 vip명단을 정리해서 영혼구원의 노력을 계속하려고 합니다. 

 attended a House Church seminar for ministers and learned about HC for the first time in 2010. One of the best things about HC is its mission to focus on those non-believers, or VIPs. That is why HC calls it VIP invitational, whether it is an Easter event, Bible festival, and/or picnic. The most important purpose of HC group meetings is to invite VIPs, saving their souls and making them disciples, not a simple fellowship or having a meal together. It is all because our Lord Jesus told us that He established the church to save souls and make disciples. Some shared that it is harder to find non-believers as they don’t often meet non-believer friends after years of attending church. So, some churches prefer it if members from other churches join the church because they are beneficial immediately as they support the church with service or financial contributions. However, because our church is committed to HC, we are seeking those whom God looks for, those who need to be cared for, those who are weak in faith, those who are in other faith- this is how we practice God’s love by serving others, we are truly grateful. 

Despite there are many things we can do to transform us and HC to save souls and HC, the first thing to do is to make a VIP roster. Whenever HC meets, come up with 2-3 non-church goer names among those who you know in a town and/or have met. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know their name, other personal details, and/or they are not Korean. Those HCs couldn’t come up with VIP rosters, sometimes it is because they are looking for Korean-speaking VIPs. But I encourage you to look for VIPs from different cultural backgrounds. Please gather those lists of names after each member identifies 3 VIPs. For example, if there are 5 HC members, the HC would come up with 15 names in the roster. And then, prioritize 3-5 names for those who are more likely to come to church if asked. And then, pray for those 3-5 names in every weekly HC meeting. The church will pray for those names with an intercessory prayer team as well as during church prayer meetings. We all welcome if one of those VIPs comes to church because we prayed together – we all have participated in the ministry of saving souls. At vision church, we plan to review and update our VIP list at least once a year so that we continue our efforts in saving souls.
