우리들 이야기

저는 종종 사람들에게 현재 비전교회에서 가장 행복한 신앙생활을 하고 있다고 말합니다. 이것은 솔직한 저의 진심입니다. 그렇게 말하는 이유는 여러가지가 있습니다. 교회를 부흥시키고 아름답게 은퇴하신 김인기 파송목사님에게서 배울 것이 많은 점, 영어권 하베스트 교회와 좋은 관계속에서 지내는 점, 자녀들이 믿음으로 잘 자라고 있는 점, 좋은 교회 건물과 음향장비가 있는 점, 교회에 어르신들이 꾸준히 신앙의 자리를 지켜주신 점, 젊은 부부와 청년들이 계속 오고 있는 점등 많이 있습니다. 그 중에 가장 감사한 이유 중에 하나는 바로 말씀을 실천하고 순종하려고 노력하는 목자부부들 때문입니다. 1월 첫주일에 목자부부 헌신예배를 드립니다. 목자는 일반교회에서 말하는 장로나 집사와 같은 어떤 ‘직분’이 아니라 예수님의 일생을 배우고 순종하는 ‘사역’입니다. 매년 자신의 목장 목회를 주님의 뜻대로 잘 헌신해 보겠다고 헌신하는 예배를 드립니다. 한 해의 시작인 1월 첫주에 했던 이유는 가정교회가 비전교회의 가장 핵심적인 정신이기 때문입니다. 

목자부부들은 ‘목자서약’후에 [나는 주를 섬기는 것에 후회가 없습니다]라는 찬양으로 헌신을 했습니다. 그 가사는 [나의 일생에 가장 잘한 것은 예수님을 만난 것이라. 나의 평생에 가장 복된 일은 내가 예수님을 만난 것이라. 나의 평생에 가장 잘한 일은 내가 예수님을 주로 섬긴 것이라. 이 세상 살 동안 내가 걷는 길이 때론 험하여서 넘어질 때도 주의 강한 손이 나를 붙드시니 나는 예수님만 주로 섬기며 살리 .나는 주를 섬기는 것에 후회가 없습니다. 내가 걸어온 모든 시간 다 주의 은혜니 내가 걸어갈 모든 날도 주만 섬기며 살리 오직 예수 이름 부르며 살아가리라. 이 세상 살 동안 내가 걷는 길이 때론 험하여서 넘어질 때도 주의 강한 손이 나를 붙드시니 나는 예수님만 주로 섬기며 살리. 나는 주를 섬기는 것에 후회가 없습니다. 내가 걸어온 모든 시간 다 주의 은혜니 내가 걸어갈 모든 날도 주만 섬기며 살리. 오직 예수 이름 부르며 살아가리라. 이것이 나의 간증이요 이것이 나의 찬송일세. 나 사는 동안 끊임없이 구주를 찬송 하리로다. 나 사는 동안 끊임없이 구주를 찬송 하리로다] 이 찬양이 감동이 되어 몇 분이 눈물을 흘렸다고 합니다. 그 이유는 이 가사대로 살려고 노력하고 있기 때문입니다. 그래서 목자들이 고맙고 자랑스럽습니다! 

I often share with others that I enjoy my Christian life in the Vision Church community. This is my true testimony. There are many reasons why I say so- I have a great mentor, Retired Rev. Inki Kim, our dispatched pastor, who revived and enhanced our church. We have a great relationship with our English ministry, Harvest Church. Our children are growing well in faith. Our church has great facilities with a great media system. Our older church members are still there for us with their faith. The church continues to grow among the young adult and young couple populations. Amongst all, I am truly grateful that we have our HC leader couples who are always trying their best to practice and obey the Words of God. We have a service dedicated to HC leader couples on the first Sunday of January. HC leader is not a ’title’ like deacon or elder of the church, but it is a ministry to learn and follow the life that Jesus lived. HC leaders give worship, dedicating that they will do HC ministry according to Jesus’ will every year. 

The reason we designate 1st week of January as the start of year, is because HC is a core of vision church. HC couples committed to singing a praise [don't regret having served you] after taking 'an oath of HC leader.' The song goes like this [The best thing happened in my life. Is that I found my Lord Jesus, my King. The best choice I’ve made in all my life. Is that I’ve decided to serve Jesus my Lord. Though I stumble and fall in the valleys of life. Broken and weak, hurt and alone, Mighty hand of God, I know, holds me up. Never will I cease to serve my Jesus, my Lord. No regrets, and no turning back, but there’s only one desire. That’s to serve my Lord because He’s been faithful all along. Lord, please let me walk with You all the days of my life. Rejoicing, praising Jesus’ Name, till I see You face to face. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all day long. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long]. This song indeed touched their heart, some even with tears, because they all put their best efforts to live so. That is why I am grateful and proud of my HC leaders.
