우리들 이야기

‘교회에서 하는 봉사를 ‘사역’이라고 합니다. 일반적으로 사역은 사람이나 동물을 부리거나 시켜서 하는 일입니다. 교회에서 사역은 목사, 선교사, 사명자들이 하나님의 부르심을 받아 교회와 사회에서 봉사하는 것을 말합니다. 오늘 예배 후에 하게 될 [사역박람회]를 통해 각 간사님들이 좀 더 구체적으로 다양한 사역에 대해 설명을 할 것입니다. 우리교회에는 새가족을 환영하고 교회정착을 돕는 비전 가족, 여성의 은사를 개발하도록 돕는 여성 리더십, 교회 건물과 기물들을 점검하고 교회를 가꾸는 관리, 다음세대를 위한 교육, 식사와 간식과 장식을 담당하는 친교, 전문 목회자를 지원하고 기도하는 목회, 대외 가정교회 사역을 위한 국제가정교회, 선교사님을 기도하고 섬기는 선교, 은혜로운 예배를 위해 영상과 음향으로 섬기는 예배, 50개 목장의 평신도 목자들의 영성을 개발하고 지원하는 목장, 주민들을 위한 구제와 실천을 위한 지역사회 사역이 있습니다. 비전교회에서 사역을 하나 할 뿐만 아니라, 여러분의 목장에서도 하나의 사역을 하십시오. 

예를 들면, 칼럼 읽기, 찬양 준비하기, 간식 정리하기, 단체문자방에 소식을 올리기, 선교사님께 소통하여 기도제목 나누기, 목장나눈 내용 기록하여 알리기, 주일 설교를 요약해서 전하기 등이 있습니다. 왜 교회에서 여러분이 이런 사역에 하나씩은 꼭 참여해야 할까요? 크게 세 가지를 말씀드리면, 첫째는 하나님께서 우리에게 베푸신 사랑과 은혜에 대한 감사의 표현입니다. 하나님이 먼저 우리를 사랑하셨기에 우리도 하나님과 세상을 사랑하고 싶어 사역하는 것입니다. 둘째는 교회 공동체에 유익합니다. 모두가 참여하는 것을 통해서 교회는 더욱 건강하게 성장하고 많은 사람에게 행복을 나눠 주는 것입니다. 혼자 무언가를 하면 힘들지만, 같이 수고하는 형제자매를 보면서 서로 격려가 되고, 미숙한 재능을 가진 사람이 경험이 있는 사람에게 배울 수도 있습니다. 셋째는 개인적으로 자신에게 유익이 있기 때문입니다. 봉사에 참여함으로 보람을 느끼고, 그 분야의 재능을 계속 사용함으로 재능이 능숙해지고, 성취감을 느끼고, 무엇보다 하늘나라에 가서는 이 모든 봉사에 대한 상을 하나님으로부터 받게 됩니다. 교회에서 무언가 사역을 맡기면 거절하지 마세요. 다른 누군가의 유익이 아니라 사역에 동참하는 자신에게 결국 축복이 있습니다!

 When we provide our work or service to the church, we call it a “ministry.” Normally, the word ministry is associated with toil and labor assigned to a person or carried by farm animals. So ministry in church means work or service that is done by pastors, missionaries, and/or ministers, after receiving God’s calling. We will host [Ministry Fair] this afternoon, providing an opportunity for church ministers to explain available ministries in our church in greater detail. Vision church, we have many ways to serve- Vision family ministry that welcomes newcomers and supports them to settle in the church; Women leadership ministry that develops talent amongst our women members; Facility management ministry that maintains and repairs church building and fixtures; education ministry that supports next generations; fellowship ministry that takes care of church meals, snacks, and decorations; Pastoral ministry that supports our pastors; Global HC ministry that coordinates and supports internal and external HC ministry; Mission ministry that prays for and serves our missionaries; Worship ministry that provide audio and visual supports for grace-filled worship; HC leadership ministry that supports and develops spirituality of 50 HCs leaders; Community ministry that facilitate mission while serving for local community for those who are in needs. So, not just serve 1 ministry for vision church, but do 1 ministry for HC, too. 

For example, you can help your HC with reading the weekly column, preparing praise for the HC meeting, cleaning up after the snack, posting announcements over the HC group chat, communicating with HC supporting missionaries, sharing the missionary’s prayer request with your HC, sharing the summary of the HC meeting, and summarizing the Sunday worship sermon. Why do you need to join at least one of these ministries? There are three big reasons. First, this is the way we express our thanksgiving to God who gave us His great Love and grace. God loved us first, and we want to love our God and His created world-that is why we want to join the ministry. Second, this is good for our church community. The church can grow healthy and share joy with many others by doing ministries together. It will be hard if you do it by yourself. But if we do this together, it encourages each other. Also, those who are not as experienced may learn from those who are well-experienced while doing the ministry together. Third, it is for your own good. You find the meaning when you serve. And you get better at it by using your talent in that ministry. Also, you may feel accomplished. Above all, God will give you Heavenly awards for all the work you have done. Don’t say no if the Church asks you to join a ministry. It is not for someone else, but it is for your own good. You will be blessed by the ministry that you do!
