우리들 이야기

담임목사의 마음이 있는 곳에 교회의 시선이 간다는 말이 있습니다. 교회 식구들이 저의 마음이 어디에 있는지 소통이 필요한 것 같아서 몇 가지 나눕니다. 첫째는 심방을 체계적으로 하려고 합니다. 제가 담임목사가 된 후 작년까지 어르신들 가정, 요청한 분들의 가정, 목자목녀의 가정, 요청한 비지니스들을 중심으로 심방하였습니다. 하지만 계속적인 교회 내외적 행사들로 인해 전교인의 1/3 정도만 심방한 것 같습니다. 2월에 바쁜 일정이 지나면, 목장별로 차례대로 가정과 비지니스를 심방하려고 합니다. 그래서 어떻게 사시는지도 보고, 축복의 말씀도 전하고, 기도제목도 구체적으로 들어서 계속 기도하려고 합니다.  담임목사의 할 일은 교회 식구들을 위해 기도하고 영적으로 하나님과 좋은 관계를 가지도록 돕는 것이기 때문입니다.

둘째는 작년에도 바룩의 서재를 통해 말씀 드린 것 처럼, 교회의 선교정책을 잘 세우려고 합니다. 그래서 금년 3월에는 남아공에서 섬기시는 이원준 선교사님을 초청하고, 9월에는 일본에서 섬기시는 조남수 선교사님을 초청하여 [선교잔치]를 2번 합니다. 우리교회는 이미 목장을 통해서 선교하는 분위기가 잘 세워져 있기 때문에, 더욱 해외에서 복음을 전하시는 선교사님을 이해하고 기도하고 동역하는 사역을 계속 잘 해보려고 합니다. 여름이후 페루 또는 볼리비아를 방문하려고 계획하고 있습니다. 방문하는 이유는 여러 선교지 중에서 중고등부나 목장에서 장기적으로 선교 여행을 가서 집수리, 체육활동, 여름성경학교, 선교사님 격려 등 필요한 부분을 어떻게 할 수 있을지를 보고, 교회가 할수 있는 사역을 결정하려는 것입니다. 세번째는 목장 사역을 더 집중하려고 합니다. 목장일기를 잘 점검하고, 가능한 주마다 목장을 차례로 방문하고, 초원모임을 저희 집에서 하고, 목녀를 위한 PT모임하고, 목장식구들이 잘 참여하도록 격려할 것입니다.  

There is a saying "A senior pastor's heart is where the Church's eyes are." I would like to share some because I think you may want to know where my heart is. First, I would like to visit our church members more systematically. After I took the title of Senior pastor, I have been visiting primarily elders, our members' houses by request, houses of HC leaders, and church members' businesses by request up until last year. However, I think I visited about 1/3 of our church members due to back-to-back internal and external Church events. So I would like to visit our members' houses and businesses, HC by HC, after the end of February when all scheduled events are over. So I would like to see how you live and to share words of blessings and pray for you in detail after listening to your prayer request. My job as senior pastor is to pray for our church family members and help them to have a healthy spiritual relationship with God. Second, As I mentioned in last year's column, I would like to develop a good Mission program. So, we are hosting two [Mission Festivals] this year. 

So we would like to Invite Missionary Wonjoon Lee in March, and then invite Japan Missionary Namsoo Joh. We already have a good culture of world mission throughout our HCs, so we continue to do this mission well by praying, understanding, and walking together with Missionaries overseas. So we are planning a mission trip to Peru and Bolivia after summer. The reason for this trip is to make decisions for our church's ministries in overseas by assessing the area needed for our support - routine Youth Group mission trips, house repairs, physical education, VBS in the mission area, encouraging our missionaries, etc. Third, I am going to focus more on HC ministries. I am going to monitor HC journals thoroughly, visit an HC one week at a time if time allows, host HC shepherd's meetings in my house, continue to meet for HC spouses' PT (prayer and tea time) meetings, and encourage HC members to attend HC meetings well.
