우리들 이야기

가정교회가 좋은 것은 많은 교회들 처럼 헌신된 소수의 사람만이 아니라 대부분의 교회식구들이 무언가 교회사역/봉사에 동참하는 것입니다. 가정교회에는 사랑을 연습하고 실천할 현장인 목장이 있고, 교회의 본질인 영혼구원하여 제자를 만드는 성경적인 방향성에 집중하기 때문입니다. 그래서 가정교회의 중요한 구호이며 노력하는 것 중에 하나가 [목장에서 사역하나, 교회에서 사역하나]입니다. 이렇게 교회의 봉사나 사역에 동참하는 것이 중요한 이유는, 신앙은 이론이 아니라 실제상황이기 때문입니다. 만약 십자가와 복음이나 천국이 하나의 추상적인 이론이라면, 그냥 ‘구경꾼’으로 주일예배에 참석하는 것으로 신앙생활을 잘 했다고 착각하고 만족할 것입니다. 성경에 대해 머리로만 알고 있는 것이 실제 우리의 신앙은 아닙니다. 참된 신앙은 얼마나 알고 있느냐보다, 얼마나 말씀대로 순종하는지가 중요합니다. 저의 추산으로는 우리 교회 식구 중에서 연로하신 분들과 환우분들을 제외하면, 교인의 6-70%이상은 한 가지 이상의 사역을 하는 것 같습니다. 

주일 예배와 목장에 출석만 하는 분들은 이제는 좀더 신앙을 성장시켜서 교회에서 사역하나 목장에서 사역하나를 실천하는 것을 목표로 삼으시기 바랍니다. 목장에서 할 수 있는 봉사/사역은 다양하게 많이 만들 수 있습니다. 그 예로는, 설교 요약해서 발표하기(목장교사), 찬양을 2-3곡 정해오기, 선교사님의 선교편지를 읽어주기, 목회칼럼(바룩의 서재)을 읽어주기, 교회소식을 알려주기, 목장식구들에게 연락하기, 기도제목 정리해서 단체 카톡방에 올리기, 간식과 식사 담당 순서 정하고 알려주기,  목자로 분가하기 전 실습하기(예비목자)등이 있습니다. 교회에서 할 수 있는 봉사/사역은 영상제작, 파워포인트나 음향담당, 어린이부나 청소년부 교회학교 교사, 찬양팀, 성가대, 건물관리부, 통역팀, 어르신 섬김 사역, 청년식사봉사, 단기선교참여, 안내와 환영팀, 삶공부 교사, 교회 탐방자 섬김, 다민족사역, 초청전도, 경조사, 식사친교팀, 주차관리, 사무실 행정지원, 디자인, 핸드벨팀, 연극팀, 새가족 간식섬김, 한국학교 교사, 장식팀, 중보기도팀, 가정교회사역팀, 지역사회섬김, 예술선교, 목회 아이디어팀 등 내외적 분야가 있습니다. 실천하는 믿음으로 계속 성장하기 위해 목장에서 사역하나, 교회에서 사역하나를 꼭 하시기 바랍니다.  

The good thing about HC is that the majority of church family members may join Church ministries/services, unlike other churches in which only a dedicated few can join. HC’s direction is to practice and share love, while the church focuses on the salvation of souls and making the true essence of the church. “One ministry for HC and one ministry for the church.” This is one of the main slogans and efforts for HC ministry. To serve the church and join its ministry are very important for Christians, because faith is not a theory, but it is a real life. We are all ok, just attending Sunday service as a ‘spectator’ if the cross, the Good News, and Heaven are only abstract theoretical concepts. What we know and understand about the Bible with our brain is not all, this is not our true faith. True faith is all about obeying the Words of God, not how much we know about the words of God. Based on my estimate, about 60-70% of our church family members participate in at least one or more ministries, excluding those who are not able to join the ministry due to age and illness. Those who are attending Sunday Service and HC meetings, please have a goal to participate in at least one ministry for the church and one ministry for HC as you grow your faith. 

There are many ministries/services that you can do for the HC. For example, you may serve your HC by summarizing Sunday Service message (HC teacher), choosing 2-3 songs for HC praise time, reading missionary’s letter during HC, reading Baruch’s Column (message from the senior pastor), reading church announcement, calling HC members, summarizing prayer request and posting over Kakao talk for HC, organizing meal/snack preparation schedule, and practicing HC (Provisional HC leader) prior to start new HC. Meanwhile, you may serve the church as a member of video editor, media team, a Sunday school teacher, a teacher for the youth group, church choir/church praise team, a member of church facility management, translation team, elderly service team, serving/preparing meals for young adult group, a short-term mission member, usher/newcomer ministry team member, a living life Bible Study teacher, Church visitors support team, multi-culture ministry team member, a part of city mission team, church affairs team, kitchen service team, parking management team, administration support team, a designer, a member of hand-bell team, newcomer snack providers, Korean school teacher, decoration team, intercessory prayer team, HC ministry team, regional service team, art ministry member, ministry development team, etc. There are many opportunities to serve the church. Please do one ministry for HC and one ministry for the church for continuous growth in your faith with an action.
