우리들 이야기

저는 작년 1월 첫 주일 저녁에 올랜도로 이사를 왔습니다. 그리고 이전에 연수관으로 쓰던 Metrowest의 방 2개 아파트에서 4 가족이 살고 있습니다. 1년을 살다 보니 저는 거의 적응한 것 같습니다. 그런데 아들은 거실 소파에서 자는데 이제 침대에서 자고 싶다고 합니다. 딸은 12학년 대학 진학을 준비하면서 집에서 공부를 할 수 없어 매일 가까운 빵집이나 커피집에서 공부를 했습니다.    

   작년부터 계속 교회 근처에서 집을 찾았습니다.  4명이 있으려면 방이 3개 반, 화장실이 2개 반 정도가 필요한데, 그런 집은 가격이 저의 예산을 넘었습니다. 저는 오래된 집을 고칠 기술도 시간도 없어서 가능한 2020년 이후에 지은 집을 찾았습니다. 교회 근처에 있는 2001년 방 4개에 화장실 2개의 집이 49-52만불이었습니다. 하는 수 없이 교회에서 20분 내에서 집을 찾았는데, Clermont에서 찾았습니다. 

  교회 식구들에게 기도를 부탁했는데, 기도한 대로, 50만불 아래, 방 4개, 화장실 3개의 집입니다. 많은 교회의 기도와 도움으로 건설회사에 대출을 신청했고, ‘조건부 승인’을 받았습니다. 계속 다른 서류를 넣으라고 하고 있습니다. 만약 이 과정이 다 되면, 원래 계획은 수요일(15일)에 집 둘러보기를 하고, 22일에 closing(계약완료)를 하게 됩니다. 그런데  그렇게 진행될지는 확실하지 않습니다. 이사를 하면, 하고 싶은 것이 많습니다.  교회 식구들을 차례대로 초대하고도 싶습니다. 시간이 많이 걸리고, 노력이 많이 필요할 것 같습니다. 끝까지 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

I moved to Orlando in 1st week of January last year. Our family of four is now living in the 2 bedrooms apartment located in Metrowest- which used to be our church's designated lodging complex for training.

I think I am used to a current place, but my son wants to sleep in his own bed not in the living room sofa anymore. My daughter, a high school senior, can't study for college in her room, so she went to a cafe or bakery nearby to study. So our family was looking for a house near our church. For a family of 4, we need at least 3 1/2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms house. However, those houses in this location were over our budget. I don't have any skill and time to fix and repair old houses, so we were looking for a house built after 2020. There was a house built in 2001 with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms near the church, but the house price was 490K-520K. So we had to look for a house within 20 minutes commute, so we found one in Clermont. I asked our church family members to pray for me. As we have prayed, it is a 4 bedroom and 3 bathrooms house under 500K. With a lot of prayers and help from the church, we applied for a loan from the construction company, and we received conditional approval. We are in process of submitting additional documents.

After this process, they said we have scheduled for a walk-thru on 15th and closing on 22nd. But it is not certain. I would like to many things if we moved. First, I would like to invite our church family members, one family member at a time. This would take a lot of time and effort. Please pray for me till the end.
