우리들 이야기

새해를 시작하면서 차례대로 여러분께 간증, 설교, 기도등을 어떻게 준비할지에 대해 말씀 드리겠습니다. 오늘은 첫번째로 소감문과 간증문을 쓰는 것입니다. 소감문이라고 하는 이유는 vip들이나 교회에 처음 다니는 분들이 간증이 무엇인지 모르기 때문에 사용하는 말입니다. 삶공부를 듣거나 평신도를 위한 세미나에 가서 깨닫고 개인적으로 변화된 점들을 기록한 것이 소감문입니다. 간증문은 선교여행을 다녀왔거나 기도응답을 경험했거나 목자 컨퍼런스등을 다녀와서 받은 은혜, 깨달은 것, 변화된 것 등을 기록한 것입니다. 그래서 소감문이나 간증문을 쓸 때는 다음과 같이 해 주시기 바랍니다. 첫째, 개인적인 이야기를 쓰세요. 예를 들면, 삶공부를 듣고 쓸 때, ‘성경에는 죄는 이런 저런 뜻이다.’라고 하지 마세요. 그것은 강의 내용이지 개인적인 이야기가 아니기 때문에 전혀 은혜가 되지 않습니다. 

대신에 ‘죄가 자신이 하나님 노릇을 하는 것이라고 배웠는데, 실제 저도 모르게 시간과 돈을 쓸 때 내 맘대로 하는 것을 발견했습니다. 그래서 항상 저의 시간과 돈과 생명의 주인 되시는 하나님께 여쭤보고 하는 습관을 갖게 되었습니다.’이렇게 개인적인 변화를 쓰시기 바랍니다. 둘째, 관련없는 과거이야기는 쓰지 마세요. 선교여행을 다녀왔다고 하면, 그 선교여행을 어떻게 가게 되고, 가서 무엇을 보고 느끼고, 어떻게 변화 되었는지에 집중하시면 됩니다. 예전에 선교여행을 몇 년 째 다닌 이야기, 중학교 때에 선교에 대한 사명을 받았고, 선교사님을 몇 번 섬겼다는 등의 관련없는 이야기는 쓰실 필요가 없습니다. 셋째, 간단 명료하게 써 주시기 바랍니다. 물론 작문이 약한 분도 있을 수 있습니다. 너무 문장이 길어서 무슨 뜻인지 알지 못할 때가 있습니다. 제가 글을 쓸때 하는 방법은, ‘이 글을 읽는 분이 내가 하고자 하는 말을 정확히 알수 있을까?’를 생각하는 것입니다. 어려운 단어보다는 쉬운 단어로, 긴 문장 보다는 짧은 문장으로 하는 것이 좋습니다. 이렇게 방법을 알려드리는 이유는 소감과 간증을 통해 모두가 은혜받기 위함입니다.  

As we start a new year, I would like to share how to prepare personal testimonies, sermons, prayers, and other words of sharing in order. Today is the first time, let me share how to write personal reflections and testimonies. The reason I used the term personal reflection is because most VIPs and those who come to the church for the first time don’t know what it means by personal testimony. Personal reflections are records of your understandings and/or changes after completing the life Bible study series or lay leaders’ seminar. Personal testimony is a record of your personal experience of mission trips and answered prayer. Personal testimony may include what you learned/realized and how you have changed after completing the HC leaders’ conference and others. It is sharing of Grace that you received from those events. So please follow those steps as you prepare for your reflections or testimony. First, Write your own personal story. For example, do not write “the Bible defines the sin as such,” when you write about life BS classes personal testimony. Because what you wrote is an excerpt from the lecture, not a personal story, hence it may not give any grace to others. 

Write ‘I learned that sin is when I play the role of God, I realized how I use my time and money on my own. So I got a habit of always asking God, who is the Lord of my time, money, and life before I spend them instead. Please write this way, displaying your changes. Second, please do not include any irrelevant story from the past. If you write about your mission trip, please focus on how you went on the mission trip, what you saw and learned, and how you changed. You don’t have to include irrelevant details about how many years you have been on a mission trip, whether you received a calling to a mission trip when you were in middle school, and/or how many missionaries you have served, etc. Third, Please write simply and clearly. I understand that writing may not be your strong point. However, sometimes some sentences are too long and run-on, so they may not be understood. The question I keep asking whenever I write is, ‘Those who read this, can they understand clearly what I am writing about?’ So it is better to use simple terms than hard vocabularies. Use short sentences instead of run-on sentences. The reason I share this is so that all may receive the grace through personal reflections and testimony
